with a bit of research the result is strong visuals that say more. sometimes the client and i are the only ones who know the deeper meaning. more often than not, that research is based on a mission statement or the individuals hopes and dreams – it’s uniquely theirs. that’s the point.

my role CREATIVE a not-for-profit organization required a logo for their volunteering program, focusing on the LGBTQ community activities throughout ontario. direction was… no flags… nothing stereotypical…i had to try one anyway. they also wanted to hit home the idea of INCLUSION. we tried many variations – as it was thought the final was ‘too simple’. the final was actually the first concept. with discussion – they understood that type with a graphic was what all ‘big name’ logos use. it stands on it’s own, it’s powerful… and gave them a clever branding icon that could be used independently. bottom row is a small selection of other options created

my role STRATEGY + DESIGN + PRODUCTION when your bff is a self-published kick-ass saucy novel writer… you help your girlie out! scarlett… not her real name… asked my help and like all good friends – i did… happily. this girl has been in my life for the better part of 20 freakin’ years and i don’t know where i’d be without her! #true. much more than swag – we decided (well, i conned her..) to take a different approach to the strategy. it made immediate sense to me to market scarlett… not just the current release. when you pick up her book… you get a great read and an escape for a few minutes. as a busy mom, she doesn’t get many minutes! she occasionally posts these tub shots and that’s how i think of her when she’s dishing on cover model abs, i mean… the book du jour. left to right – front facing table runner, bookmark, business cards (front + back) and pamper pack bag tags. we’ve also made the requisite banners, magnets, stickers all the good stuff. head over to amazon and pick up TIME WILL TELL. it’s a sweet, heart-wrencher. an incredible effort for a first timer… this is not a biased opinion! so proud of you girlie! xos
my role CREATIVE + ART DIRECTION a request for christmas cards came from smartsimple, toronto. the turnaround was q.u.i.c.k. but sometimes, that’s when the fun happens. smartsimple is full of tech-heads so, what better way to represent than a circuitboard tree and robots. postcards were created, to keep costs down – and to show off the fun creative. thanks pam and mike!
