DESIGN + PRODUCTION + EDITING keghah at capea cameroon and i have been working on projects for a couple of years – and i jumped when he asked my help with their annual report. wonderful success they’re – making – in a very unstable part of the world.

CREATIVE a not-for-profit organization required a logo for their volunteering program, focusing on the LGBTQ community activities throughout ontario. direction was… no flags… nothing stereotypical…i had to try one anyway. they also wanted to hit home the idea of INCLUSION. we tried many variations – as it was thought the final was ‘too simple’. the final was actually the first concept. with discussion – they understood that type with a graphic was what all ‘big name’ logos use. it stands on it’s own, it’s powerful… and gave them a clever branding icon that could be used independently. bottom row is a small selection of other options created

CREATIVE logo for a not-for-profit that validates skills earned through volunteer work and how those skills can be utilized in the professional world. the existing was pulled from the original program in la belle province. however, the name was lost in translation. in the end, to maintain a link with quebec, they decided on a simple variation. in my opinion, too bad, because rarely does a logo work bilingually – a key consideration when working in canada. for the record, my fave is the upper left corner. i’ll find a way to repurpose somewhere!

PRODUCTION + CREATIVE I received an email from Issa (in sierra leone) – requesting my help with their annual report and summary documents. the result is an actual report. not financials! it’s great to see the impact that DCI-SL is making locally. very proud to have been asked. thanks Issa and Manaff in Sierra Leone and Paula in Geneva at the International Secretariat!
